Last updated 24 June 2026. We try to write these like a person, not a contract.
- We never ask for, handle, or store your Aadhaar number.
- We never store government-portal passwords or log in for you.
- We collect only what a document check needs — with your consent.
- You can export or delete all your data at any time.
What we collect
Account basics (name, email or mobile), the details you give us for a readiness check (such as your category and which certificates you hold), and how you use the site so we can improve it. We do not collect your Aadhaar number, and we do not require document uploads to give advice.
Why we collect it
Only to deliver the advisory service you asked for — checking whether your documents are likely to be accepted, tracking deadlines, and tailoring guidance. We process your data on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in providing the service, consistent with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we never do
We never sell your personal data. We never log into a government portal on your behalf, and we never store portal credentials or Aadhaar. We do not rely on scraping government sites as a dependency of the service.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active and for a short period after, so reminders stay useful across an admission cycle. You can delete your account — and everything tied to it — from Settings at any time.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data, and withdraw consent, directly from your account settings or by contacting us. We respond to data requests promptly and keep a consent log you can review.
SetuPath gives advice, not decisions. We never submit anything to a government portal, never handle your Aadhaar, and never guarantee an outcome. Final responsibility for your application always rests with you, on the official portal.
Advisory-only service
SetuPath provides information, checklists, and guidance to help you prepare documents and applications correctly. It is not a government service, not legal advice, and not a substitute for the official portals. You complete and submit every official application yourself.
No guarantee of outcome
Our predictions and readiness checks are estimates based on published rules and historical data, which change. We do our best to keep them accurate and link the official source, but we cannot and do not guarantee admission, scholarship approval, or document acceptance.
Your responsibilities
You agree to give accurate information, to verify guidance against the official source we link, and to meet official deadlines yourself. You are responsible for your own submissions and for keeping your login secure.
Acceptable use
Use SetuPath for your own (or your students’) genuine document preparation. Don’t misrepresent SetuPath as a government body, resell the service without agreement, or attempt to disrupt it.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, SetuPath is not liable for losses arising from reliance on advisory output, from changes in government rules, or from missed official deadlines. Our role is to reduce avoidable mistakes — not to assume responsibility for your application.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We’ll note the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you in-app or by email.
Questions about your data, these terms, or a document check? We answer real emails from real people.
